Accessibility 101

Accessibility can feel complex or even intimidating, especially when it is approached as a set of rules or requirements. This workshop creates space to slow down, ask better questions, and find a clear place to begin. Together, we will explore accessibility as a generative, community-building practice that shapes who is able to participate and belong. Participants will leave with practical actions they can take right away, along with concrete tools to support thoughtful, ongoing work. This session is open to anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of accessibility, and is especially relevant for people in decision-making roles.

A masked non-binary Latinx person stands outdoors on a sidewalk with a teal functional grip cane. They have a crew cut fade and wear a patterned “Trans joy is holy” shirt, denim jeans, and pink & purple boots with black laces.

In the background, several storefronts are to the left while street trees and parked cars can be seen on the right.
